Friday Fish Fry

This was our 1st visit in 5 years. When my sister-in-law lived in West Bend we came here frequently. We arrived at 4:45 and found out that the bar was full and that they do NOT take reservations on Friday. However, the hostess offered to seat us in the dining room right away. Our server was prompt and we ordered drinks at the table. Our server treated us very well, kept coming back periodically to see if we were ready to order. We told her that we were relaxing at a table since the bar was full. No problems.Decided to order food about 5:15. My husband had the perch and it was excellent. I had the Bavarian pretzel chicken. Never had pretzel breading before but it was fantastic. The chicken breast was huge!! The salad bar was basic but well stocked and fresh. We will be back!!

Great service friendly staff food was outstanding we were there two weeks in a row I have the prime rib and the pork shank both are excellent my wife had a poor man’s lobster and salmon and they were both great our friends both had steak it was his idea to come back the general manager is very friendly and one of the hardest workers you’ll ever see definitely worth going will be back

Found this place by accident earlier in the week and decided to give it a try. We made reservations for 4 on Sat night at 7pm and arrived at 6pm to enjoy the view from the bar first. All our meals were very good…from shrimp to salmon to filet and chops. Service was excellent and the prices are terrific. We will be back.
Worth the trip

Visited with friends on a Saturday night. Started with drinks at the bar, which has a great view over Wallace Lake. My bourbon Old Fashioned was spot-on! Were were greeted at our table by the friendly and efficient Donna, and we ordered the Bavarian pretzel coated chicken and three NY Strip steaks. Salad bar was small but fresh, and our food was prepared exactly as ordered, which is less common than you’d think when ordering steak rare. Dessert was grasshoppers from the bar, which were tasty but small. If I might suggest making them at least the size of your Old Fashioneds, your prices are so good nobody will complain if you have to charge a couple of bucks more. Look forward to returning when it gets warmer to enjoy the patio!

I had the privilege of eating at Walden’s twice in the last 3 weeks. Coincidentally, both nights were on a Wednesday. Actually, it wasn’t by coincidence since the Wednesday night special is steak and lobster for only $26.95. The steak is done to order, and the lobster is delicious. You have a choice of soup or salad bar with the entrée. I chose the fresh salad bar both times, and I was very pleased both times. If you have the time, also stop into the bar, and have the Bartender, Dar, make you one of her signature drinks. She makes terrific vodka martinis and Old Fashioneds.
